What happened

Bitcoin gained 4.8% in July, 25.2% in August and was up 10.9% in September when CoinDesk observed it near $86,140. If September closes positive, this would be Bitcoin's first July-through-September winning streak since 2012.

Blue Rogues read

The rarity is historically interesting, but the sample contains only one prior occurrence. In 2012, October fell 9.7% before Bitcoin later advanced sharply; that sequence cannot establish a forecast for 2026.

What this confirms

The three consecutive monthly gains describe persistent demand across the quarter and distinguish the move from a single-session rally.

What it does not confirm

The pattern does not predict October, identify a cycle top or prove that the 2012 path will repeat. Current liquidity, positioning and market structure are materially different.
