Bitwise Will Close and Liquidate Its BWOW Dogecoin ETF
The fund's final trading day on NYSE Arca is expected to be October 14, followed by liquidation and a cash distribution to remaining shareholders. Dogecoin itself is not being delisted.

Bitwise Investment Advisers has announced that it will close and liquidate the Bitwise Dogecoin ETF, ticker BWOW, as the firm adjusts its product range.
According to the fund's SEC filing, shareholders may trade BWOW on NYSE Arca through the expected final trading day of Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The fund is scheduled to cease operations after the close.
Bitwise expects remaining shareholders to receive the net asset value of their shares, measured as of October 21, in a cash distribution on October 22. The filing says shareholders do not need to take action during the process, although the cash distribution may create a taxable event.
This is the closure and delisting of one exchange-traded product. It is not a delisting of Dogecoin from its network or from crypto markets, and it does not prevent other products from providing DOGE exposure.
The decision is evidence about the sponsor's assessment of this fund's place in its product lineup. It does not, by itself, measure total institutional demand for Dogecoin or establish a broader regulatory judgment about the asset.
