Circle Agrees to Acquire Tazapay, Subject to MAS Approval
The definitive agreement would extend Circle's payout and banking network, but the transaction remains subject to closing conditions and regulatory approval.

Circle has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Singapore-based cross-border payments platform Tazapay.
Circle says the transaction would add more than 60 banking and fintech partners and payout infrastructure across more than 100 markets. The company also cited more than $25 billion in annualized payment volume, with roughly 60% related to stablecoins, as of July 31, 2026.
Those operating figures are company-reported and should not be read as audited transaction value completed over a full year. Circle did not disclose a verified transaction price in the announcement.
The acquisition has not closed. Completion is expected in 2027 and remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, including approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Strategically, the agreement would connect Circle's stablecoin infrastructure with Tazapay's local banking and payout relationships. The evidence threshold is execution: regulatory clearance, completed closing and measurable use of the combined network.
