CoinEx announced that it will cease operations through a staged shutdown after citing weaker market liquidity, rising regulatory requirements, compliance costs and operational uncertainty.

New registrations and several new product activities have already stopped. CoinEx says non-spot services and most on-chain deposits will cease September 22, while spot trading will end September 29.

The withdrawal deadline is December 22

The exchange says withdrawals will remain available until 02:00 UTC on December 22, 2026. Users who want to withdraw non-USDT assets in their original form are told to act before the September 29 processing stage.

CoinEx also plans to stop CoinEx Smart Chain and OneSwap on September 29. Users relying on those systems or the associated bridge should examine the published instructions and allow time for network confirmation.

A timetable does not remove execution risk

CoinEx states that user assets are fully backed and cites a reserve ratio above 100%. That is a company representation, not a substitute for independent verification of a user's balance, withdrawal status or the exchange's liabilities.

Users should verify destination addresses, supported networks and completed on-chain settlement independently. Concentrating withdrawals near the deadline can increase exposure to congestion, support delays and operational mistakes.
