Nu is using Sygnum's banking infrastructure to support Nu Global, a multi-currency account designed for customers in Switzerland and other international markets.

The integration includes fiat-to-crypto conversion, crypto trading, stablecoin access and custody. Sygnum says Nu Global is operated through a Swiss entity and uses its regulated banking infrastructure.

Nu serves more than 140 million customers across Brazil, Mexico and Colombia, but that group-wide figure should not be read as the number of people receiving Nu Global or its crypto features. Availability remains market-specific.

The strategic signal is that a large Latin American digital-bank group is using an external regulated provider to extend international and digital-asset services. It does not establish adoption, balances held or transaction volume.

The next evidence is country-by-country rollout, active-account data, funded balances and sustained use of the crypto functions.
