Ripple Puts Governed AI Inside Enterprise Treasury
Ripple expanded GSmart across forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation and reporting while keeping financial actions behind policy and human approval gates.

Ripple Treasury has expanded GSmart, its treasury-focused AI system, across enterprise forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation and reporting workflows.
The central design choice is separation of roles. Ripple says deterministic engines perform financial calculations, while AI interprets policy, detects patterns and explains recommendations. Treasury teams retain approval authority over every financial action.
GSmart's Knowledge Studio allows organizations to define policies and controls against which proposed actions are checked. Orchestrated agents can monitor processes and suggest a response, but they must cite the relevant policy and wait for approval before execution.
This structure addresses a material enterprise concern: useful automation without allowing a probabilistic model to become the accounting or authorization engine.
The next evidence is operational performance—error rates, audit outcomes, customer retention and whether human review remains effective as the volume of recommendations grows.
